J-Standard is a JLPT learning platform built by Coto Academy in collaboration with developer Teratomo Inc., bringing everything JLPT test-takers need into one place. The platform launched in August 2026, with more exciting features currently on the way.

What is J-Standard?
J-Standard is a web-based JLPT learning platform built to help students prepare for the exam with confidence, at their own pace. The platform includes JLPT-specific courses broken down into units, each with kanji material, instructor-led grammar videos, a unit assessment, listening and audio features, and mock tests. Users can also customize their study with note-taking, a built-in dictionary, and other resources, plus a dashboard that makes it easier to track progress and stay consistent. An app version is currently under development.
J-Standard was built by Coto Academy and developed by Teratomo Inc., a well-known development company. The materials are designed by Coto Academy’s Learning Development team and teaching staff, the same educators behind Coto Academy’s curriculum, who’ve also published books like Nihongo Fun & Easy.
Who Is J-Standard For?
We make J-Standard for JLPT candidates who want a self-paced but structured way to study, all at a more affordable cost, using the same effective method that’s helped our students pass the JLPT at double the national average rate.
